At Asnaan Dentistry, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. During your consultation, Dr Essack will evaluate your bite, enamel thickness, smile line, and overall oral health before recommending either veneers, dental crowns, or a combination of both. That said, not all situations require treatment with ceramics. Dr E often opts for more conservative solutions like Teeth Whitening in combination with a referral to an orthodontist.

1. Emax Veneers and Emax Crowns
Emax is a premium type of pressed ceramic known for its strength, translucency, and lifelike appearance. It’s ideal for veneers on front teeth and full-coverage crowns on visible teeth when aesthetics are the top priority.
Emax is my first choice for anterior veneers and crowns. It mimics natural enamel perfectly and allows me to preserve more of the tooth underneath.
2. Zirconia Crowns
For patients who require maximum durability with good aesthetics. Zirconia crowns have come a long way in the past few years. Since the advent of high translucency zirconia materials, and new techniques where highly aesthetic porcelain can be built onto a zirconia substructure, Zirconia crowns are now our go-to material for its perfect blend between long term strength and durability combined with beautiful aesthetics.
On back teeth we use high-strength zirconia crowns. These are ideal for teeth under heavy bite force or with previous root canal treatments.
3. Composite Veneers (Alternative)
While we focus on ceramics, we occasionally use composite veneers for temporary smile improvements, mockups, or when budget is a concern. However, they stain more easily and don’t last as long as ceramic.
